PNC Bank Album of Historical Edenton Pictures
Discovered by Deborah Lee, former PNC Branch Manager, in the PNC Bank vault, this album is a treasure trove of pictures of days gone by in Edenton. Assembled (by whom we do not know) with typed descriptions in 1978, the actual pictures were probably taken in the late 1800s and early 1900s – some before 1904, as evidenced by the lack of electical lines. The unknown photographer(s) captured Edenton’s citizens going about their everyday lives and the pictures feature several recognizable landmarks.
Who are these people? What were their lives like? Who took the pictures? Who put the album together? Their history is ours, as well. Join us as we step back in time and visit Edenton over 100 years ago…..
